went to the Perth Royal Show on Thursday with yvette & kit! (:
we wanted to wear some sort of headband, so.. hello to bunny ears! ahahahahaha
it came with a bunny tail as well but I didn't want to put it on. would've looked hilarious!
& then a lot of game/stall persons labelled me as "bunny". -____-"
like "hey bunny!" or to yvette, "hey! the shark that's following the bunny!"

OH! OH! also, kit & I convinced yvette to take that ride!
the seats rock back & forth, & the arm turns. & the whole thing goes 360º!
IT WAS AWESOMEEEEEEEEE! bwahahhahahaahaha.

& also due to My Blood Type restaurant that my parents have informed me about.
interesting isn't it?

so anyway. I'm stumbled across various diets for my blood type!
in hopes of losing weight, I'm gonna follow it! woohoo!
but I can't believe I have to eat less meat! ):
I'm almost ~75% carnivorous. major sadness!

I'll see how it goes. if the results aren't showing..
then heck it. I'm not bothered. hahahaha.

wow. it has been ages since I've written a post.
& I guess I'm just writing here for a reason, for a friend. (:

so yes, for a friend. I had a good friend.. whom I don't know what it is now.
I had a friend whom I shared daily events with.
I had a friend that shared with me a similar sense of humour.
I had a friend whom I could kind of rely on..
who helped me whenever he/she could, without much questioning.
I think I had a friend whom I guess.. I didn't really show appreciation to, but I do.
I'm not a person of words, nor am I one that shows acts of appreciation.
but I hope, that person knows my intentions..

so, what happened to that friend?
although years have drifted, our friendship seems to be holding on, merely.
now that I've thought about the past.. it seems kinda funny.
I was & now even more a straightforward person & say things when I really mean it.
of course, only to those that are close & who I think I can share my honest opinions with.
but that friend, didn't complain nor argue with me, but rather let it pass & kinda accepted it.
we now share almost, end poles of interest & very different opinions.

people do change, & I know that very well. I even changed a bit myself.
but one thing about me didn't change.
I always seem okay on the outside, but I get emotional when I'm alone.
maybe due to random deep thoughts & such. my close friends would know this very well.
& however, nowadays that friend doesn't update me much any more.
but when he/she does..
I guess he/she wanted/expected a reaction that I don't seem to conform to.
unfortunately, I guess my words aren't what he/she wants to hear.
not like ones that his/her current group of friends would give.
a conversation now gets slightly awkward at times.

we used to say that we're good close friends in the past..
but now, I'm not assured about the future.
I guess.. the only thing I would like to say would be..
I hope that close & good friend I used to have, knows it's him/herself.
whatever the circumstances is, hopefully that he/she knows that I truly appreciate what he/she did for me in the past & now.

for the future, we would never tell.
it takes 2 hands to clap, & I'm up for it.
but to that friend, whom I cherish.. you don't have to respond in words.
I'll rather search and realise it by myself.

I had brainfreeze last night while doing my stupid Animal Ecology assignment!
it's about some experimental design & how are we going to analyse our data..
& the worst part was that my lab demonstrator totally guided us wrongly!
we did the experiment in a group, but suppose to answer the questions individually.
I don't know whether other groupmates are actually bothered about the wrong info,
but I was so uneasy & had to reanalyse everything! it was due today!
the lab demonstrator that helped yvette also told them the wrong thing!
epic FAIL!

sigh. totally killed my brain last night, & re-killed them today. pffffffftttttttt.
the even more annoying thing was that, the lab I had today for another unit was also biostats!
like.. I've seen enough numbers already!!
GET THEM OUT OF MY FACE.

urgh this sucks. I'm a bit behind all my lectures because they were soooo boring!
I almost fell asleep during them! & it's so not on purpose.

feel so much healthier these few weeks.
I've been waking up when I've reached a 9-hour+ sleep..
trying to and have been doing at least 1hr+ of exercise a week..
it's not that much, but of course I hope to do more after managing my time better.
& it's hard when you're lazy & uni had already tire you out for the day.
but I feel so much better these days. hooray!

had a super dodgy night yesterday!
check out more pictures of the architecture library in my uni.

hailstorm during the early evening, which made my house black-out.
I mean, it was okay when there was the sun...
& I didn't expect it to last very long, because such things happened before.
however, it lasted into the night which made christine & I panicked!

urghhhhh. doing everything in the dark is horrendous.
ruined my evening + night as I've already planned to do my work.
can't do it, ain't gonna try & read my paper with my stupid mobile.
plus, my laptop battery wouldn't last >2hrs, not talking about through the night...
worried about the meat & stuff in the refrigerator...
only thing that's working is water, mobile & the DSlite.
apparently the DSlite didn't last very long & ran out of battery in 20mins.
FML.

so yeah. we just laid on the bed & stoned for about 30mins.
then we had "dinner". yeah " cuz we had nutella & chips. wtf?
that was about 7PM+ moaning & groaning about the remaining hours left.

my mobile worked, but I couldn't call out. it kept saying "Connection Error".
the only person I could call was yao jun! but later, the connection died.
thank god my dad called & I told him what was going on!
then again, my mobile battery dies within a few minutes on calls.
so we couldn't talk much either. urghhhhhh. I NEED A NEW PHONE!
so yeah. luckily christine's mobile has battery & yvette called us! SAVIOUR! (:
heard that crystal's home was flooded while her neighbour is having a waterfall in her room.
hah. genius weather.

home phone works too! have 2, of which 1 is cordless (uses elec) & one doesn't (YAY)!
so talked to yao jun for awhile & decided that we should just stone in our room/sleep.

mmm.. I like this korean "ggul alroe cha" (i.e Honey Aloe Tea)! it has pieces of aloe in it. :D
but the problem is that, when you mix it with water, it doesn't really dilute & stuff.
so like, your water will not be sweet, but the bits of aloe at the bottom is very sweet.
hmmm. so maybe you'd like to add a bit of warm water to partially dissolve it.
then add cold water & ice after that.. super yummy! :D

so I had my haircut earlier on this month..

basically everyday's been a "lazy day" for me.

I'm currently playing Avalon Code & it's kinda fun.
it's slightly similar to Final Fantasy, but a different storyline. (:
you get different weapons as well, & the characters are cute! haha.

anyway. I had a new haircut.. well, it makes me look like a lil kid now. hahahaa.
my hair was originally till my lower back, & now I've chopped it off. x(
& now when I shower, I feel odd because my hair is short. -_-

it's one of the few songs that have vocals for & it's now one of my favourite sad songs.

everyday, I'm getting sleepier by the minute & I doubt it's due to the lack of sleep.
been having moderately enough sleep I guess.
enough as in, biologically. not habit wise. so.. I don't know.
been pretty dodgey these few days.

missed a few lectures this whole week; clashes here & there.
how annoying! then I would've to download Lectopia.
which brings me to the point that I've to watch my boring lectures at home.
it's wasting my time. grrrrrrrr. not as if the lectures are interesting..

spent my 3 hours of uni today on Bioinformatics.
sat there in my practical class looking at genes, transcripts and protein functions.
so many digits are floating around in my brain now. -_-
including the representative letters for each protein..
& I still remember A1AT_HUMAN gene; antitrypsin..

it's like a habit to do reports now. -_-
without it, you feel as if something about uni is missing.

my life has been really boring & everything is just about uni right now.

I hope they are not going to, despite their lawsuit issue.
my mom, I, & all the fans would most definitely miss their songs!! ):
& of course, them too..! but according to the media, they said they wouldn't.

it's just about their "slavery contract for 13 years" that disturbs me.
their earnings are split into SM 80:20% TVXQ?! or sometimes 90:10%?!
oh my god? even JYP (e.g. Wonder Girls) usually does it 50:50%..!
currently, the story now has 9 parts to it in that blog. so.. yeah it's a bit long.
had the time to read in the library yesterday with yao jun cause we had nothing to do.
either way, I hope they would solve this pretty quick.

& it's more like a discussion paper, which is goooooood..
apart from the topics & they had to do with sheep & emus..

anyway. my 2 genetics units are.. well it's a bit ironic.
because one's Introduction to Genetics, while the other is Molecular Genetics.
why is it ironic? one is obviously an introductory unit..
while the other one assumes that you already know a whole lot of stuff.
stuff from Molecular Biology.. which I took last semester & hated it totally.
so yes.. I'm going to have lots of DNA floating in my brain everyday.
everyday.. to the point where maybe I'll start to talk with As, Ts, Cs & Gs. -_-

& I'm not really.. MIA-ing.. hahaha.
I'm kinda trying to keep myself awayyyyyy from the Internet for a good cause.

uni has officially started today & my timetable sucks, as always.
actually, this semester's my worst screwed up one.
soooo many lab clashes & I had to drop one unit because it doesn't fit my timetable.
Vertebrate Zoology - not a core unit therefore I could change it.
but it's a little bit ironic as I've done Invertebrate Zoology in Sem 1. -_-
& I've replaced it with Bioinformatics which I'm supposed to do next year.

oh my god. this semester is going to be full of genetics.
I'm currently having 3 genetics units now. eeeeeeeeee.
pushed 3 units earlier in my course & now I've got empty slots for my 3rd year.
just great. I need to sit and choose units when the time comes again. -_-

been trying to tell myself to revise properly ever since I've started uni.. never seem to be working. -_-
I need to be a good girl & try to become a nerd for once.
which probably will not happen anytime soon. :/

it's freezinggggggggg cold today & would be for the following few days.

Twilight saga: Breaking Dawn

been pretty bored these few days.. finally finished Breaking Dawn 2 nights ago!
yao jun's special edition made me blind reading 756 pages..
& the font is slightly bigger than what I prefer, but it's alright.
it's my favourite book of this "Twilight saga"!
I'm not gonna spoil the story for those that haven't read it yet..
but really. it's good - despite Book Two: Jacob. I couldn't wait to finish it!
I don't really fancy werewolves/shapshifters as compared to vampires!
it's just a personal preference all these years & in movies as well.
haha.

I really thought Bella Swan, acted by Kristen Stewart was sort of decent looking..
then till I found some images and speculation of her smoking weed/pot.
so I'm like.. nah. Emma Watson's still my favourite British actress!

... from uni!! urghhhhhhh. I'm complaining & whinging once again. ):
the conference went well in sci & comm. wasn't that bad but we panicked. :p
I'll just give a brief summary on everything so I'll not be long winded.
so much for updating isn't it? hahaha.

let's carry on..

SO.. the cockroach dissection wasn't THAT bad.
other than it smells & everything. it was a small cockroach.
& that they were gassed (or something) to death so I did not freak out.
I only freak out at live insects. :|

when through the whole dissection without much problems.
I had a male cockroach while yvette & brian had females.
so like, you could see the white eggs in them & stuff.
brian went to poke the eggs & took out the larvae cockroaches.. -_-

we then dissected a sea urchin the following week & thank god that I do not eat sea urchins.
mine was a female so apparently its gametes/ovaries just flooded my bowl. -_-

gross right? but it was okay to me, other than the flooding of the gametes..
& it's quite funny that the sea urchin's stench was almost 10x worse than the cockroach!
my lab demo was telling us, even though sea urchins are dead, their spine muscles are involuntary.
so imagine placing a dead sea urchin on your table & it will start "crawling" away. LOL!

molecular bio start to get more boring. -_-
after all the bacteria & microbiology side, we're now in the biochemistry stuff.

see them pipettes. urghhhhh. I hope my future will not be as boring!!
& yeeseng & I never fail to screw up something in a lab session.
whether is it major or minor, IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING.
the other time was using normal distilled water, not STERILE distilled water. -_-
whichever is it. I hope we pass. HAHAHAA! & yee seng's good in his stuff. (:
so we should be okay!

oh yes. I passed my mid-sem exam for molecular bio with distinction!! YAY!!
last year's unit was so crappy & my results went.. down the hill. passed though.
but merely. ): now.. YAYYYYYYY!! worth 20% I think. heeee. :D

frantically trying to finish the stupid re-write article!!
& it's due at 5pm tomorrow, but I shall finish before afternoon arrives!

the graphs - who the hell put figures into the discussion section?
long-winded discussion that made no sense; a load of mess talking about A to D then to C and E.
they contradicted their own findings & urghhhhhhhh..!!
the methods, ideas, experimental design isn't that bad.. but whoever, WHOEVER,
approved/reviewed/allowed it to be published in the Pacific Conservation Biology Journal,
SHOULD BE ARRESTED!!
yao jun & I are so !@#$% already. I bet everyone else doing this would wanna either:

kill the person who wrote this, or;
kill themselves.

my weekend is finally here & I could catch a breath.
today was ANZAC day. - plays the trumpet tune - LEST WE FORGET!
an aussie memorial thing about the war at the Gallipoli peninsula in Turkey, 1915.
& I started on my re-write article which is due on tuesday.
meh. I actually sat & did it from 2pm till 7pm!! -_-
so much for having a break for my weekend. ):

anyway! a better update, we dissect yabbies on tuesday!
"yabby", a small freshwater crayfish, a Crustacean. (:
brian's one is on the left & mine is on the right.

had to dissect their appendages off & count them. -_-

I ripped its carapace off - it's now semi-convertible. :x
& this is a huge preserved crayfish that's kept in our lab. (:

I totally hate the idea that we're going to dissect the female cockroach this coming tuesday.
& I'm hoping that I'd conquer my entomophobia & actually dissect that gross Arthropod.
yeah. some giant, gross & black cockroach. I should put up a picture of it when I do. -_-

oh yes. I made beef rissoles today for dinner! yayyyyyy me!
it was damn bloody good lah. & my mom's such a sad soul I tell you.
she totally dislikes beef & will try to avoid any food that tastes like beef.
funny thing is, she loves beef noodles. -_-? oh & she also hates cheese.
& apparently my rissoles had both beef and parmesan cheese. HAHAHA.
my dad & I went "YUMMMMMMMMMM!" while looking at her stare & disgusted face. LOL!
the much funnier part is, she was the one who asked me to cook it!
so basically, she brought this upon herself. SO IT'S NOT MY FAULT. :D

while it was baking at 180ºC for 10 mins after frying 2-3 mins on each side.
sorry, no end product picture as we already dug into it before I had a chance. :p
& IT WAS DAMN GOOD LAR! mmmmmmmmm..

I haven't been blogging much & sorry for the bad quality images.
my handphone camera does no justice for my images. sigh.
this implies that I need a new digital camera. HAHA.

this was what we did for the past couple of weeks for Invertebrate Zoology.

horseshoe crab & yes, more round worms (Annelids) & gross Arthopods (centipedes, spiders, etc).
& still more arthopods after this study break which I'm currently having!! urghhhh.
I don't like aracnids (spiders), insects & all those grossssssss thingggggggggggggggs!!

WE HAVE TO DISSECT A FEMALE COCKROACH SOON. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

it's now the phylum Annelida! which are basically round worms. (:
we looked at a live specimen of an Oligochaete, earthworm!
it then wriggled out of the dish & yvette screamed.
WE ALL GOT A SHOCK. apparently she's damn afraid of worms & caterpillars.

so anyway. we had to dissect one of these: Nereis!
& in simpler terms: a marine worm. :D

I didn't take this picture but I got it off google image; but it looks exactly the same.
those structures that look like legs are called parapodia.
& know this entry is very "science-y" but I feel it's damn cool.
wait till it reaches to the point that I have to dissect animals in the phylum Arthropoda.
which are insects, spiders & all those shitty stuff. damn gross la.
I would definitely freak out way worse than yvette.

oh yes. a full entry today! no more bits & pieces like the few previous posts. heh.
I ate salad for lunch today & I felt so proud of it. HAHAHA.
yes, one lunch & I feel good already. hahaha. the feeling of being partially healthy.
& to also reduce the consumption of meat! which brought great sadness to me. ):
but like how yvette & I were saying that we/people have to do something to animal cruelty!
the way they slaughter animals for meat is just.. NON-TOLERABLE!
I don't mean every slaughterhouse does it. I'm just emphasizing on those evil/cruel ones!

I've finally received all the pictures from yvette! :D but they aren't of good quality.
should've brought a digital camera or something. no focus, no macro. it's just not good..!
but anyway, this was what we did for invertebrate zoology lab on wednesday: dissecting abalones!

the one with cream coloured gonads (left) is a male and the green one is a female.
just some random points which I think are fascinating.
in the 4th picture, you could actually see the eyes of the abalone if you looked closely.
sorry la. as I've said, the focus isn't good for close-ups. ):
oh. & they have "teeth" called radula & they have blue blood!
yvette was so gross because she went to squeeze its the anus which had a lot of shit.
HAHAHAHHAHA. actually, the whole abalone is full of shit. HAHAHAHA!

& yes, all thanks to Jane Prince, our lecturer, to barbecue us some abalone (aussie style)!
though I felt like eating the hotel way of cooking ones during chinese new years.. :/

I went for my dental today due to the loose jaw I have on my right side & had to get up by 9am!! it totally sucked. I was soooo sleepy! it 'clicks' when I open & close my mouth.
oh. & my teeth are also damn odd too.

I have 3 wisdom teeth that aren't out yet. like where did the 4th one go?!
my lower pre-molar (left) rotated 180 deg laterally, which explains why food get stuck in between..?
& the other lower pre-molar (right) is still the baby tooth. why?
because there isn't any tooth below so it's gonna remain as a baby tooth forever!

AHHHHH MY GOD. I'm friggin' weird. I blame my parents. :D
anyway. I 'cam-whored' with adelicia last thursday & took quite a lot of pictures!
they are like.. started without make-up on & then we tried heavy make-up.

Another of those who purportedly offered roles as F4 crew was idol group, Dong-bang-shin-ki. The F4 leader, Goo Joon-pyo would have gone to Yunho, the role of Yoon Ji-hoo to Yoochun, and lastly, Soh E-jung to Jaejoong or Junsu.

However, due to their busy schedules, the boys had to decline. We are sure they are kicking themselves now. Oh well.

with supposingly Kim Hyung Joong as "Rui" on the right (who looks okay.. :x).

& it's not that I dislike the current casts, I just wanted TVXQ to act in one of my fav dramas! :x
& seriously, the hair isn't doing Lee Min Ho justice.
but I think we should forgive the hair once in awhile.. AHAHAHHA.

but yet it's hard as I'm trying to imagine Yunho with curls. AHHAHAHA.

Big Bang has just released their first book on February 6th at the Kwanghwamoon Press Center.
